Isaac Has Been on Earth 3 Years!

There are so many cool things about this little boy of ours.  In general, he's more easy going than his older brother, but when it matters, he's got lots of fight of him.  Which is handy when you're one of three boys. :o)

I was looking through some of my photos and am sharing some of my favourites from the last two months.
Loving tearing around the beach at end of May
I love watching my boys run around like free spirits on the beach.  They're always allowed to strip down to whatever no matter how cold etc.  I think it does a boy good to be a hoodlum.  Isaac loves it.  In this picture above in the bottom right corner, he was just thrilled running from the waves!

Quizzical.
So far, he is the tutu-er (NZ word-means to tinker) of the family. He has to pull the tyres off cars, pull his trains apart, rip the battery unit out of Quinn's glo-worm...  He was pulling things apart at 2yrs old that Sam was still leaving in one piece at 4yrs old.  This can be frustrating at times as you can imagine, but I also love it about him...
Feeding Quinn
"Mama, I do love Quinnsta".  Mmm he does.  Although, he only helps with bottles when it suits him, but he's still pretty good at it.
Brothers playing Bob the Builder
I have a picture of Sam and Isaac at a similar age when Sam put this hat on Isaac.  I just happened to walk into the room right when Zachy was lifting Quinn's head off the floor, positioning the hat under, and putting his head into it.  Cracked me up.  Quinn was pretty cool about it.
My favourite cheeky expression
He loves eating raw vegges.. ?!?
Mysterious Buttons
He's learnt to undo his own buttons.  Such concentration.  He is SO proud of himself too.  I just adore his proud wee grin.

PLUS - no more nappies!!!  Yeah!!!

Happy Birthday, my cheerful, bright, mischievous, clever Zachy.  x

PJs & TV

Love it!  Sammy was having his first ever sick day off school, and the boys needed some down-time from attempting to rearrange each other.  I set them all up with a DVD and came back to see that no-one had moved... Not even Quinn.

Quinn at 5 Months

Look what I get to wake up to every day!  He's very cute.

It's been a while since I've done a post about our lil Quinn.  So here's a little bit about him with some of my favourite photos of him.  Forgive me if I've posted these before.

I love this one from very early on.  He doesn't do it anymore though. :(
Crossed hands while sleeping...

Chewing his teeth
At 12 weeks he busted out a couple of pegs!  Unbelievable.  I love it how he sits there chewing away with them.  Gives him the funniest facials!
"I found my hands!"
I adore watching babies when they find their hands.  They look so wowed by them. They're the coolest thing they've ever seen, and my golly goodness, they can control them!  Quinn even now, still gets distracted watching his hands.
Finally grabbing the toys!
Took him a while to do this.  About 4months he was finally holding and grabbing for his toys.  Now he has a darned good shot at strangling his monkey every day.  Whilst screaching at it.
Playing with Z in the bath
Never been impressed with tummy time
I know, you're meant to put them on their tummy, but my kids have all HATED it!  5 mins and they're yelling blue murder!  Sigh.  We try to do it in interesting surrounds, but still.  Not cool - as you can tell by his expression.
Pretty happy in the shower
He LOVES showers.  This picture is hilarious, cos he looks pretty shocked.  He enjoys watching all the drips going down.
Getting pretty intent on putting everything into his mouth now.  He loves to chew his fingers and mine too.
Attack Baby!
He still does the little attack-baby stunt.  And yes, I'm still in love with it.  Although, one has to be careful about letting him connect as those lil fangs are sharp!
A day at the beach...
And finally, we have solids.  This boy is very hungry.  He loves his food, and has done since his first taste.  He's pretty cute with it too.  These shots are his first tastes, and his first time with the fruit-baggie.
Solids!  Yeah baby!!
Quinn is giving us all so many laughs.  The boys love him and vice-versa.  He's standing on his legs now, and making new sounds too - very piratey ones at the moment.  He gets very excited when I run with him chasing the boys around the house.  He's actually giggling now too.  It's my No.1 priority each day - to get him giggling.

One of the coolest things though?  Is seeing his utter delight and excitement when his daddy comes home each day...

The Fang Fairy...

Yup - it fell out. At school. Yay! His teacher was awesome and helped him keep it safe. Apparently they all had a discussion about how much money he would get. His teacher said it was eyebrow lifting how much these kids think their teeth are worth. Haha!

Well, this meant I better get cracking! I had a whole 'thing' to create! Firstly, I went to the computer and googled male tooth fairies. Horrors! There are some hideous things out there, and nothing nice! So instead, I sucked it up, sat down and did a wee drawing of what I imagine a Fang Fairy would look like. Here he is:

Then we photocopied it and both the boys had a blast colouring it in. Sam also wrote a letter. "Dear Fang Fairy, I am glad you have a water pistol. Please pay me $400. Love Sam". Sigh. $400?! He really thought long and hard about it. Especially after I fell off my chair laughing that the kids told him he should get $1,000.00. Talk about inflation! That's just plain extortion! Well, dreams are free.
How teensy tiny is that?!
We carefully put it into a little bag, and got it all set under his pillow. Daddy then read the boys the story about the Fang Fairy. (Yes, I'm that silly - I wrote one. No, I'm not posting it.) It was fun to hear it read out with all Justin's expression, and hear the boys giggling away excitedly.

Next morning, he came rushing in, very excited about $3 being left under his pillow in a little bag. Thankfully, $3 is still not very different to $400 in his mind.

One down, 19 to go. I'm pretty sure the Fang Fairy is only allowed to collect up to 8 teeth per child...

* There are some very WEIRD shoes on this tooth fairy website...

Sock Teddy!!

I like her, alot!
Quinn was given a very cool 'Nood' Sock Teddy by our friends when he was born, and we think he's so cool.  Then I was given (from giver of Nood teddy) a pattern detailing how to do these from a pair of socks.  Very cool!  I've been thinking about it for quite some time now, and finally I bought some socks and set to stitching and cutting.

You could easily do one of these from a pair of socks of which one has a hole.  The other needs to be perfect though.  If you want to have a shot, there is a pretty good tutorial to be found here, and better yet, this tutorial only uses one sock.
